মেঘ পিয়নের ব্যাগের ভেতর মন খারাপের দিস্তা.. মন খারাপ হলে কুয়াশা হয়, ব্যাকুল হলে তিস্তা.. মন খারাপের খবর আসে বন পাহাড়ের দেশে.. চৌকোনো সব বাক্সে, যেথায় যেমন থাক সে.. মন খারাপের খবর পড়ে দারুন ভালবেসে.. মেঘের ব্যাগের ভেতর ম্যাপ রয়েছে মেঘ পিয়নের পাড়ি পাকদন্ডী পথ বেয়ে তার বাগান ঘেরা বাড়ী.. বাগান শেষে সদর দুয়ার, বারান্দাতে আরাম চেয়ার গালচে পাতা বিছানাতে ছোট্ট রোদের ফালি.. সেথায় এসে মেঘ পিয়নের সমস্ত ব্যাগ খালি.. দেয়াল জুড়ে ছোট্ট রোদের ছায়া বিশালকায়.. নিষ্পলকে ব্যাকুল চোখে তাকিয়ে আছে ঠাই.. কিসের অপেক্ষায়.. রোদের ছুরি ছায়ার শরীর কাটছে অবিরত.. রোদের বুকের ভেতর ক্ষত.. সেই বুকের থেকে টুপ টুপ টুপ নীল কুয়াশা ঝরে.. আর মন খারাপের খবর আসে আকাশে মেঘ করে.. সারা আকাশ জুড়ে.. মেঘের দেশে রোদের বাড়ী পাহাড় কিনারায়.. যদি মেঘ পিয়নের ডাকে সেই ছায়ার হদিস থাকে.. রোদের ফালি তাকিয়ে থাকে আকুল আখান্কায়.. কবে মেঘের পিঠে আসবে খবর বাড়ীর বারান্দায়.. ছোট্ট বাগানটায়.. আষাঢ় মেঘে বৃষ্টি এল, আকাশ জুড়ে গাঢ়... রোদের সাথে ছায়ার আড়ি মুখ দেখেনা কারো.. মেঘ করেছে.. পড়ার ঘরে বিছানাটা জুড়ে.. উথাল পাতাল মেঘ করেছে.. নিঝুম হৃদয়পুরে.. বুঝি হঠাৎ করে মেঘ পিয়নের ক্ষনেক অসাবধানে.. তার চিঠির গোছা উড়ে গেছে কখন দুরের বনে.. গুড়িয়ে গেছে ঝরনা জলে ছড়িয়ে গেছে গাছের ডালে.. মন খারাপের পাতাগুলি গাছের পাতার মতন নীল পাহাড়ে পড়ছে ঝরে, ঝরছে অবিরত.. এপাশ ওপাশ রাত্রি ফুরায় মন খারাপের ভোরে.. পশলা মেঘে বৃষ্টি পড়ে, বৃষ্টি পড়ে ঝরে.. আয় বৃষ্টি টাপুর টুপুর, আয় বৃষ্টি ঝেপে.. মন খারাপের বৃষ্টি, তোকে দুঃখ দেব মেপে.. মেঘ পিয়নের কোথায় বাড়ী, কোথায় সে কোন দুরে.. আষাঢ় হলেই কোথায় থেকে আসে আকাশ জুড়ে.. মন খারাপের দিস্তে গুলি কখন বিলি করে রাত জাগা কোন ভোরে, মেঘের দ্বি-প্রহরে.. পাকদন্ডী পথের দ্বারে বাগান ঘেরা ঘরে.. এখন রোদ উঠেছে, মেঘ পিয়নের যাওয়ার সময় প্রায়.. যেসব চিঠি হয়নি বিলি পড়েছে ঝরণায়.. গড়িয়ে গেছে নদীর জলে, ছড়িয়ে আছে গাছের ডালে টুপ টুপ টুপ পড়বে ঝরে পাহাড় তলির পথে.. ধীরে ধীরে শুকিয়ে যাবে শুকনো পাতার সাথে.. মন খারাপের সজল টুকু শুকিয়ে গিয়ে শেষে.. মিলিয়ে যাবে তির-তিরে এক মন কেমনের রেশে মেঘ পিয়নের ব্যাগের এবার মন কেমনের দিস্তা.. সেই মন কেমনের স্রোতের টানে চলছে বয়ে তিস্তা.

শাবিপ্রবি'তে লা বিবলিওথেক- এর বইমেলা

গতকাল সোমবার থেকে শাবিপ্রবিতে শুরু হয়েছে লা বিবলিওথেক এর পক্ষ থেকে বইমেলা। সোমবার সকাল ১০.০০টায় শাবিপ্রবি ক্যাম্পাসে এ বইমেলার উদ্বোধন করেন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রক্টর অধ্যাপক জহির উদ্দিন আহমেদ। এ সময় অন্যান্যের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ছাত্র উপদেশ ও নির্দেশনা পরিচালক অধ্যাপক ড. রাশেদ তালুকদার, ইংরেজি বিভাগের সাবেক বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক ড. মুহম্মদ আলমগীর তৈমূর, ইংরেজি বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক মো. মিজানুর রহমান প্রমূখ।
বইমেলায় প্রথম দিন থেকে যেসব প্রকাশনীর বই পাওয়া যাচ্ছে তার মধ্যে রয়েছে- অঙ্কুর, শ্রাবণ, শব্দশৈলী, গ্রন্থিক, চৈতন্য, নাগরী প্রভৃতি প্রকাশনী। এছাড়াও বইমেলায় সাস্টিয়ান লেখক-গবেষকদের বই ও জার্নালের প্রদর্শনী চলছে। আগামী ১৪ ফেব্রায়ারি পর্যন্ত এ বইমেলা চলবে। প্রতিদিন সকাল ১০.০০টা থেকে বিকাল ৫.০০টা পর্যন্ত মেলা চলবে। বইমেলায় পাঠকদের জন্য লা বিবলিওথেক পাঠাগারের সদস্য হওয়ার সুযোগ রয়েছে। যে কোন শাবিপ্রবি শিক্ষার্থী লা বিবলিওথেক পাঠাগারের সদস্য হয়ে বিনামূল্যে বই পড়তে পারবেন।
উল্লেখ্য যে, শাবিপ্রবির শিক্ষার্থীদেরকে বই পড়ার সুযোগ প্রদানের জন্য অত্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কতিপয় শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থীদের উদ্যোগে ২০১৫ সালে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় গেইট এলাকায় স্থাপিত হয় লা বিবলিওথেক পাঠাগার। প্রতিষ্ঠিত হওয়ার পর থেকেই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরা নিয়মিতভাবে এ লাইব্রেরির বই বাসায় নিয়ে পড়তে পারছে। লাইব্রেরির পাঠক সদস্য সংখ্যা বর্তমানে প্রায় তিন শ’।

Merchant's Donkey Translation in Bangla

Merchant’s Donkey

 Once upon a time, a merchant had a donkey. He used to take the donkey to the market to sell salt. He had to cross a river everyday while going to the market. One day usual he and his donkey were crossing the river.

The merchant said, “Let’s cross this river and go to the market and sell the salt. I will earn money and buy food for you.”

But the donkey slipped and fell, the donkey started braying.

The merchant helped the donkey to get up. He was lucky enough not to get hurt because the salt dissolved in the water. The donkey’s load got lighter. There was hardly any weight on the donkey’s back.

The merchant said, “Let’s go back home because there is no use going to the market without any thing to sell.

The donkey was delighted.

Next day again as they were crossing the river to go to the market to sell salt. The donkey purposely slipped in the water and his load was lightened.

The merchant thought, “The donkey is playing tricks with me. I can make out his cunningness. I have to teach him a lesson so that he doesn’t spoil business.”

Next day the merchant loaded the donkey with cotton and they started for the market.

The merchant said, “Let me see. What does this donkey do today?”

After all, donkey is a donkey. As he reached the river, he played the same trick. But children see what happened. Cotton bundle soaked the water and the load on the donkey’s back increased many folds. Now the donkey couldn’t walk at all.

When the donkey couldn’t walk, the merchant gave nice thrashing to him and said, “So you will play tricks with me. If you don’t work where do I feed you from? You are spoiling my business every day. Now take this.”

Never again did the donkey ever think of the slipping in the river.

একদা একজন ব্যবসায়ীর একটি গাধা ছিল। সে প্রায়ই লবণ বিক্রি করার জন্য গাধাটিকে নিয়ে বাজারে যেত। যখন সে বাজারে যেত নদী পার হতে হতো। একদিন স্বাভাবিকভাবেই সে এবং তার গাধা নদী পার হইতেছিল।

ব্যবসায়ী বলেছিল, “চল নদী পাড় হই, বাজারে যাই এবং লবণ বিক্রি করি। আমি টাকা আয় করবো এবং তোর জন্য খাবার কিনবো।“

কিন্তু গাধাটি পিছলিয়ে পড়ে গেল, এবং ডাকাডাকি শুরু করেছিল।

ব্যবসায়ী গাধাটিকে উঠতে সাহায্য করেছিল। সে অনেক ভাগ্যবান ছিল কোন ব্যথা পায়নি কারণ লবণ পানির মধ্যে মিশে গিয়েছিল।

ব্যবসায়ী বলেছিল, “চল বাড়ি ফিরে যাই কারণ কোনো কিছু বিক্রি করা ছাড়া বাজারে গিয়ে লাভ নেই।“

গাধাটি খুশি হয়েছিল।

পরের দিন আবার যেহেতু তারা নদীটি পার হইতেছিল লবণ বিক্রি করতে বাজারে যেতে। গাধাটি ইচ্ছে করেই পানিতে পিছলিয়ে পড়ে গিয়েছিল এবং তার বোঝা হালকা হয়ে গিয়েছিল।

ব্যবসায়ী ভেবেছিল, “গাধাটি আমার সাথে ছলচাতুরি খেলতেছে। আমি তার চাতুরতা বের করতে পারি। আমার উচিত হবে তাকে উচিত শিক্ষা দেওয়া যাতে সে ব্যবসা ধবংস করতে না পারে।“

পরের দিন ব্যবসায়ী গাধাটির উপর তুলার বোঝা দিয়েছিল এবং বাজারের যাওয়ার জন্য রওনা হয়েছিল।

ব্যবসায়ী বলেছিল, “চলো দেখি। কী করে গাধাটি আজ?"

সর্বোপরি, গাধা হলো একটি গাধা। যখন সে নদীর কাছে পৌঁছেছিল, সে একই চালাকি খেলেছিল। কিন্তু বাচ্চারা দেখ কী ঘটেছিল। তুলার পুটলি পানিতে ভিজে গিয়েছিল এবং গাধার পিঠের উপরের ওজন ভাজে ভাজে বেড়ে গিয়েছিল। এখন গাধাটি প্রায় হাটঁতে পারতেছে না।

যখন গাধাটি হাঁটতে পারছিল না, ব্যবসায়ীটি তাকে চমৎকারভাবে পিটুনি দিয়েছিল এবং বলেছিল, “সুতরাং তুমি আমার সাথে চাতুরতা খেলেলিও। যদি তুই কাজ না করিস কোথা থেকে আমি তোকে খাওয়াবো? দিনকে দিন তুই আমার ব্যবসা ধবংস করতেছিস। এখন এটা নে।“

আর কখনো গাধাটি পানিতে পিছলিয়ে পরার জন্য ভাবে নি।

From the harbour at Malacca in the dark of night
To the straits of Ceylon at glimmer of dawn.
Much have I travelled -
The grey world of Ashoka-Bimbisara,
Further yet,
The dark city of Vidharbha;
Around me life foams its stormy breath.
Weary of soul,
I found a moment's respite in her presence -
She: Banalata Sen of Natore.
Her hair the ancient darkness of Vidisha,
Face a sculpture from Sravasthi.
A sailor in distant oceans, rudderless, lost,
When hoves into view
Island of grass through fronds of cinnamon,
A green relief
So she felt to me.
In the darkness she spoke -
"All these years, where had you been?"
Her eyebrows arched like the soaring wings of a bird -
She: Banalata Sen of Natore.
With the sound of dewdrops,
Comes evening.
The sunset fringe of gold on the eagle's wing

Scam

Scam means to get something, such as money by deceiving someone; Swindle ; Fraud. Almost every internet user any way have experience web scam.

Hack or Hacking

Hacking means unauthorized access or use of a secured computer or its data and network resources.

Abbreviation or Acronyms is used to shorten a big name or a sentence. This technique is used in spoken conversation and written English because it is smart and easy way to remember or express the whole big name.

Basically, an Abbreviation or Acronyms is formed by the first letter or first some letters of the words of a name or sentence.
Abbreviation or Acronyms সাধারণত কোন নাম বা বাক্যের শব্দগুলোর প্রথম এক বা একাদিক অক্ষরের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত হয়।

Difference between Abbreviation and Acronyms:

Acronym is also a type of abbreviation but there is a difference between an abbreviation and an acronym. In Abbreviation the letters are spelled out or pronounced individually and not reads as a word. 
But acronyms are pronounced as a word and not read letter by letter.

Abbreviation and Acronyms এর মধ্যে পার্থক্য:

Acronyms ও এক ধরনের abbreviation কিন্তু এদের মধ্যে একটা পার্থক্য রয়েছে। 
Abbreviation এ প্রতিটি অক্ষরকে আলাদাভাবে উচ্চারণ করা হয় এবং এটাকে শব্দ হিসেবে পড়া হয় না ।
কিন্তু Acronyms কে একটি শব্দ হিসেবে উচ্চারণ করা হয় এবং Abbreviation এর মত প্রতিটি অক্ষরকে আলাদাভাবে উচ্চারণ করা হয় না।
Example:- ISO (International organization of Standardization) where the ‘I.S.O’ is pronounced individually.
- NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) where the ‘NATO’ is pronounced as a word.
